As a child, the world was simple
War made no sense
Child eyes do not see
Boundaries, borders, and lines
Now that I have grown some
I see these divisions
But the child in me
Still cannot understand them
I very much believe that when I am old
The divisions will remain
And though I may understand more clearly
My childlike eyes will not accept them
War made no sense
Child eyes do not see
Boundaries, borders, and lines
Now that I have grown some
I see these divisions
But the child in me
Still cannot understand them
I very much believe that when I am old
The divisions will remain
And though I may understand more clearly
My childlike eyes will not accept them
